Publish a campaign
The publishing path for a brand campaign — submit for review, the In Review state, publishing, moving back to draft, unpublishing to edit, and re-publishing.
A campaign only reaches creators once it is Published. Publishing is a short path with one gate: the campaign must be complete and submitted for review first.
What this is and when to use it
Use it when:
- A draft is complete and you want creators to be able to find and apply to it.
- You published a campaign and need to change something, so it has to come down first.
- A campaign was pulled back to draft and you want it live again.
Do not use it to:
- Fix the campaign's contents — open the builder, covered in Create a campaign.
- Close a campaign permanently after its content cycle — that is Mark as done on a published card, described in Campaigns and campaign statuses.
- Approve the creators who apply after publishing — that is Review applications.
Submit for review
- Finish every item on the builder's checklist — the campaign card shows Submit for Review as disabled until the required fields are filled.
- Select Submit for Review on the card or in the builder's workflow rail.
- In the drawer, set the Strategy and Audience Size (Followers), and confirm the campaign details it restates.
- Select Submit for Review in the drawer. The campaign moves to In Review and the toast confirms it was submitted.
While a campaign is In Review, its applications page explains the wait: the review process can take up to 48 hours, and Relish is reachable if you have questions. Only campaigns in Draft or In Review can be edited.
Publish
- Open the campaign in the builder.
- Find the workflow rail.
- Select Publish campaign.
- Confirm the success toast. It also reminds you to tell the sales team about the new campaign — do that, since publishing puts the campaign in front of creators straight away.
There is no confirmation dialog for publishing: it is reversible through unpublish, so the rail publishes on one action.
Move back to draft
- Open the In Review campaign.
- Select Move back to draft in the workflow rail, or Cancel Review on the campaign card.
- If you used the card action, confirm Cancel review and return to draft? — it explains that the campaign leaves review and can be submitted again afterwards.
- Edit the campaign as needed, then submit it for review again.
Unpublish to edit
Published campaigns cannot be edited in place. To change one, take it down first.
- Open the published campaign in the builder.
- Select Unpublish to edit in the header.
- Confirm Unpublish to edit this campaign? The dialog names the pause and what it means for creators before anything changes.
- Make your edits.
- Submit for review and publish again.
Unpublishing moves the campaign back to Draft, which means it is no longer visible to creators while you work. Use it deliberately, not as a way to tweak copy on a live campaign.
NOTE — Unpublish to edit only appears when your account holds the unpublish permission for the organization. A member without it sees the published campaign without that control — see Team and access.
