Building a campaign from the create dialog to Submit for ReviewVideo coming soon

The campaign builder is where a campaign is written: the brief creators read, the platforms and content types you require, the dates, the locations, how creators book, and what the campaign pays or gifts. Every section saves as you work, so you can leave and come back.

What this is and when to use it

Use it when:

  • You are starting a new campaign, or continuing a Draft that is not finished.
  • You need to change a live campaign's dates, locations, or schedule — unpublish it first, covered in Publish a campaign.
  • You are duplicating last season's campaign to reuse its brief.

Do not use it to:

Create the campaign

  1. Open Campaigns in the top bar and select New Campaign.
  2. In the Create New Campaign dialog, choose the Brand the campaign belongs to. The brand is required first — the title and type fields appear once a brand is chosen.
  3. Enter a Campaign Title. Titles are unique inside a brand, so pick something specific.
  4. Choose the Campaign type: Physical (creators visit a location at a booked time) or Product seeding (you ship a product to approved creators, no visit). Nothing is pre-selected; you must pick one. You can switch the type later only while the campaign is a draft with no applications.
  5. Select Create Campaign. The builder opens on the new draft.

IMPORTANT — A title that would produce the same URL as an existing campaign is refused with Another campaign already uses this slug. Change the title to a more distinct value. Change the title and create again.

You can also start a campaign from your avatar menu (New Campaign) or from a brand's page (Create Campaign), which pre-selects that brand.

Set the campaign type

  1. Find the TYPE chip in the builder header.
  2. Select Change type and choose one of the two active types:
TypePipeline
PhysicalCreators visit a location. The campaign needs dates, at least one location, and visit scheduling.
Product SeedingProduct ships to the creator. The campaign uses address confirmation and shipping instead of visits.
  1. Confirm the change. Every existing application is re-staged for the new pipeline; nothing is deleted, and appointments, shipments, and submitted content stay on their rows.

NOTE — Older campaigns may still display a retired type on the chip. Retired types cannot be chosen for a new campaign and are never offered in the picker.

Write the brief

Work down the builder sections. Each one saves as you type.

  1. About this campaign — the description creators read first. Say what the campaign is, where it happens, and why a creator should join.
  2. What you will receive — the compensation, product, or perks a creator gets.
  3. Under Creative direction, fill in:
    • Visual tone — the style, palette, or mood you want in the content.
    • Caption cues — tone, key phrases, and any required disclosures.
    • Hashtags and mentions — the tags and handles creators must use.
    • Reference links — links to content that shows the direction.
  4. Check Meet the brand at the bottom of the brief, which is what creators see about you. Use Edit on brand profile to change it — see Manage your brand record.

Add a cover image

  1. Select the cover area to open the gallery.
  2. Drag an image in, or choose a file. PNG, JPG, and WebP are accepted.
  3. Set an uploaded image as the cover if it is not already. One image is marked as the cover at a time.
  4. Open the gallery again to remove an image. Removing the cover clears it, while the image stays in the gallery so you can set it again later.

The cover is what appears on the campaign card and on the campaign's public page, so it is one of the requirements the checklist enforces.

Choose the platforms and content types

  1. Open What you'll create under the Deliverables heading.
  2. Select the platforms a creator must post to — Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Pinterest, TikTok, Twitch, Twitter, Website, Yelp, or Youtube. Each platform adds its own requirement row.
  3. On each platform row, select the content types that satisfy it — jpg and Videos are the available chips.
  4. Leave the require-all switch off when any one of the selected platforms is enough. Turn on Require all selected platforms (instead of any one) when the creator must post to every platform you selected.
  5. Remove a platform requirement with Remove platform when you no longer need it.

WARNING — The platforms you require are a hard gate on the creator side. A campaign that requires a platform a creator does not have cannot be applied to by that creator. Require only the platforms the campaign genuinely needs.

Set the dates and locations

The visit setup is a chain — dates, then locations, then schedules. The builder shows the chain as step chips: Campaign dates, Locations, and Visit schedules (shown as Visit times when creators report their own visit time).

  1. Select Select date range and pick the campaign window — a start date and an end date.
  2. Open Manage locations to attach the venues creators can visit. The page lists every location your brand has saved, with tabs for All, In campaign, and Not in campaign.
  3. Use Add on a saved location's row to attach it to the campaign, or Add at the top of the page to create a new location by hand or upload a batch — see Manage locations.
  4. Return to the builder and confirm the location cards render on the map.

Until a campaign window is set, the locations page refuses with Campaign dates are required first, and the builder reads Set campaign dates to unlock scheduling. That is the chain, not an error.

Choose how creators book

  1. Find the question How do creators book their visit time? in the campaign's location and schedule section.
  2. Choose one of two modes:
ModeWhat it means
Preset time slotsYou set availability per location and creators book one of your windows. You can add weekly windows and one-off dates.
Creators choose their own timeApproved creators pick a store themselves and report the visit date and time. No windows to manage — for walk-in or in-store activations.
  1. For Preset time slots, open each location's schedule drawer and build its availability — see Campaign schedule.
  2. For Creators choose their own time, there is nothing else to configure; the creator reports the visit time themselves.

Switching modes never deletes anything. Preset schedules are retained while the campaign is in self-reported mode, and come back when you switch back.

Set the budget and in-kind value

The Submit for Review drawer carries the campaign's economics, next to the strategy and the audience size. They are display figures for the campaign page and for reporting — Relish does not process creator payments, so nothing here moves money.

FieldWhat it means
Budget ($)The paid budget you are putting behind the campaign
In-kind value ($)The value of products or services you provide instead of paying

Leave both blank for a campaign that pays nothing and gifts nothing. A Product Seeding campaign ships product, so record its worth in In-kind value rather than the budget.

Work the checklist and submit for review

  1. Read the workflow checklist in the builder. Each item is either checked or flagged as missing.
  2. Fix every flagged item — cover image, location and schedule, campaign description, experience description, social media platforms, creator requirements.
  3. Select Submit for Review.
  4. In the drawer, set the Strategy and the Audience Size (Followers) the campaign targets, then review the campaign details the drawer restates.
  5. Select Submit for Review in the drawer. The campaign moves to In Review.
